3.3.1 Via-in-Pad Elimination

Via-in-pad is completely eliminated and dog bone fanout is chosen for BGA fanout. This activity reduces cost of PCB fabrication as compared to via in pad and via filling, plating process. Figure 3-23 shows the cutout image of the layout portraying the BGA fanout:
