Description

This reference design uses the UCC28180 continuous conduction mode (CCM) power factor correction (PFC) controller to generate a 390-V, 1-kW output from a universal AC input. Additionally, the UCC28880 converter is used as bias supply in this design. Over 95% peak efficiency is achieved at 120-VAC, 60-Hz input and over 97% efficiency is achieved at 230-VAC, 50-Hz input.
