In smart factories, servo drives are used in conveyor belts, machines, tools and robots. These applications may require support from multiple real-time Ethernet protocols such as EtherCAT, Profinet Real Time/Isochronous Real Time, EtherNet/IP and, soon, gigabit Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN).
