PGA5807: Integrated 8-channel AFE with LNA, PGA, and LPF for Security Scanners
The PGA5807 is an 8-channel, high-bandwidth, analog front-end (AFE). The device functions on a single 3.3-V analog supply. The device supports high-bandwidth input frequencies with a total power of 60 mW per channel. The PGA5807 consists of a low-noise amplifier (LNA), a programmable gain amplifier (PGA), and a programmable low-pass filter (LPF). The LNA has a fixed 12-dB gain (the differential amplifier supports both direct and capacitive input coupling) and supports a maximum linear input range of 500 mVPP.
ADS5296: Octal Channel 12-Bit, 80MSPS or Quad Channel 10-Bit, 200MSPS High-SNR and Low-Power ADC Security Scanners
The ADS5296 is a low-power, 12-bit, 8-channel, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with sample rates up to 80 MSPS. However, the device can also be configured to operate as a 4-channel ADC running at 2x the sample rate by interleaving data from two ADC channels. In interleaving mode, the device accepts a double frequency input clock. Each ADC in a pair converts a common analog input signal at alternate rising edges of the 2x input clock. The device can either be configured as a 10-bit, 4-channel ADC with sample rates up to 200 MSPS or as a 12-bit, 4-channel ADC with sample rates up to 160 MSPS.
DDC264: 64-Channel, Current-Input Analog-to-Digital Converter for Security CT Scanners
Part description: The DDC264 is a 20-bit, 64-channel, current-input analog-to-digital (A/D) converter. It combines both current-to-voltage and A/D conversion so that 64 separate low-level current output devices, such as photodiodes, can be directly connected to its inputs and digitized.
AFE0064: 64 Channel Analog Front End for Digital X-Ray Security Detectors
The AFE0064 is a 64 channel analog front end designed to suit the requirements of flat panel detector based digital X-ray systems. The device includes 64 integrators, a PGA for full scale charge level selection, correlated double sampler, 64 as to 2 multiplexer, and two differential output drivers.
ADS8881: 18-Bit, 1-MSPS, Serial Interface, microPower, Truly-Differential Input, SAR ADC
The ADS8881 represents one of the highest AC-performance and lowest power consumption ratings in the market for 18-bit, 1MSPS SAR ADCs. With 100dB of SNR at 5.5mW of power consumption, the ADS8881 was developed to be a high-performance SAR ADC. Additionally, the ADS8881 family solves a common issue of common-mode input voltage range. In a normal differential SAR ADC, the common-mode has very tight restrictions. With the ADS8881 family, the common-mode input range can be anywhere within the allowable input voltage range, thus relaxing the requirements on the designers front-end signal conditioning circuit. These stated specifications make this a desirable part to designers in high-end power-conscious projects, particularly in ultrasound applications.
TMS320C665x DSP for portable ultrasound systems
The TMS320C665x DSP generation fits well in portable and power-constrained medical imaging applications like portable ultrasound systems. Optimized for power efficiency, the dual-core TMS320C6657 DSP running at 1 GHz delivers 64 GMACS/32 GFLOPS at 3.5W, while the single-core TMS320C6654 DSP can consume as little as 2W at 850 MHz.
