Giving and volunteering

TI is committed to building stronger communities where we live and work around the world.

Building stronger communities

For decades, TI and the TI Foundation have worked to strengthen and improve the quality of life in our global site communities through well-considered and well-measured investments to improve the communities where we live and work, and engage TI employees through giving and volunteering programs.

Our employees and our retirees regularly give and volunteer to help solve local needs. Their voice and community mindedness are supported by the TI Foundation by matching their monetary contributions up to $30,000 and the value of their volunteer hours up to $1,000 per year.

Giving back has been fundamental to who we are at TI since our founding – it’s about strengthening the communities where we live and work. Each generation of leaders has embraced this commitment, and today our employees continue this tradition, dedicating their time, skills and funds to create lasting change in our communities around the world, and touching lives in ways that will ripple for years to come.

Where we invest

Our highest philanthropic priority is education. We fund programs that provide high-quality STEM education for students in low-income school districts, primarily through increasing the effectiveness of teachers and principals.  We also fund human services programs that offer pathways to our neighbors who need essential social services.  In our headquarters city, we support arts organizations that express the multitude of cultures and peoples in our community.  The TI Foundation also matches our employees’ and retirees’ donations of dollars and time.
