Central compute unit multidomain

Block diagram

Overview

The central compute unit (CCU) multidomain includes ADAS and gateway or ADAS, cockpit and gateway functionality in a single centralized electronic control unit (ECU) consisting of a single or multiple PCBs with a single or multiple SoCs. Sensors and actuators can be connected from the zone control modules or with a direct connection. Scalable power solutions and interface protocols allow for highly-optimized solutions with our suite of Jacinto processors.

Design requirements

  • Central compute unit multidomain systems require:
    • Scalable solutions across processing, communication and power systems.
    • Support for multiple low- and high-speed communication interfaces for video and data transmission.
    • Integrated or discrete functional safety diagnostics to ensure operation in all conditions.
    • Integration and reduced design complexity to achieve high functionality in small spaces.
