Overview
Our integrated circuits and reference designs enable you to build a digital output module, enabling low-side and high-side driving capabilities, push-pull high frequency outputs known as pulse train output (PTO), inductive loads, isolation and protection.

Signal isolation
The analog front end is usually galvanically isolated from the embedded processing block on the backplane to break ground loops between the PLC and sensor transmitter or remote system. The signal isolation also improves measurement accuracy as it removes noise and helps with ESD, EFT and surge protection of the outputs. Texas Instruments signal isolators offers different isolation voltages, creepage and clearance distances depending on system requirements and offers higher reliability and data rates than opto-couplers.
