Overview

Our integrated circuits and reference designs will help you jumpstart your point of sale (POS) printer project through a fast and reliable thermal print driver, efficient power management and low-power wireless and wired interfaces according to your needs.

Design requirements

POS printer systems require:

  • Real-time general purpose input/output (GPIO) pin control to drive the thermal print head elements.
  • Bipolar stepper motor drivers to control the paper feed motor and brushed DC motor drivers to control the cutter.
  • Highly-integrated PMICs to regulate core, memory and IO power.
