Overview

Our integrated circuits and reference designs help you create effective solar arc protection designs to help meet the needs of UL1699B. Solar arc protection circuits with fast analog front ends (AFEs) and digital signal processors (DSPs) can quickly analyze a signal to detect a potential arc and take action.

Design requirements

  • Precision analog signal chain for accurate spectral measurement.
  • Accurate detection of series and parallel arcs.
  • Signal processing that can eliminate false positives.
