Overview

The AMC87208 evaluation module (EVM) is an easy-to-use platform to evaluate the functionality and performance of the AMC87208. The AMC87208 has optional circuits and jumpers to configure the AMC87208 for different applications.This EVM features the AMC87208, a highly integrated current-output and control device optimized for optical networking applications. The AMC87208 includes: Six dedicated, 16-bit, current output digital-to-analog converters (IDACs), two dedicated 16-bit current output DACs (IDAC+) and one dedicated 12-bit, 1MSPS analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The IDAC+ channels can be configured for the control of high-output current generation circuits.The ADC can be used to monitor external and internal signals. The AMC87208 also includes a temperature monitor, and a high-precision internal reference that eliminates the need for an external reference in most applications.
