Overview

The PMP20809 reference design is an isolated DCM flyback design that takes a universal line input 85VAC to 265VAC, and produces a 24V ouput capable of 36W loading. The reference design uses the LM5021 controller to enable a high switching frequency and minimize transformer size. It achieves 90% efficiency at high and low line, and measures 1.5in x 3.6in on a 2 layer board.
