This reference design demonstrates an isolated converter for smart glass modules using flyback topology. The converter uses peak current mode controller LM51561 to achieve less than 20mW low standby power consumption at 14V input voltage to extend the battery lifetime. The converter also provides two output rails which supply 12Vdc for microcontrollers and 120Vdc for smart glass drivers. With a fully designed transformer, its load transient is within 7%.
Features
- Less than 20mW low standby power consumption at 14V input voltage
- 83.09% efficiency at 16V input and 26.4W output
- Primary side regulation design (no optocoupler) extends product lifetime
- Minimized output undershoot and overshoot during load transient
