POWEREST
Power Estimation Tool (PET)
POWEREST
概要
Power Estimation Tool (PET) provides users the ability to gain insight in to the power consumption of select TI processors. The tool includes the ability for the user to choose multiple application scenarios and understand the power consumption as well as how advanced power saving techniques can be applied to further reduce overall power consumption.
PET for AM57x and AM437x Processors:
This downloadable spreadsheet is the mechanism in which users input device parameters needed for their application. Parameters include IP activities/loadings, desired power states, and power management usages. Multiple operating conditions can be applied along with time slots for each state. The power estimation data is embedded in the spreadsheet and generated automatically within the spreadsheet (no upload is required).
PET for AM57x:
PET for AM437x/AMIC120:
PET for OMAP35x, AM35x, AM335x & AMIC110 Processors
The following PET modules are comprised of three steps:
- Download input spreadsheet - This downloadable spreadsheet is the mechanism in which users input device parameters needed for their application. Parameters include IP activities/loadings, desired power states, and power management usages. Multiple operating conditions can be applied along with time slots for each state.
- Upload spreadsheet - Upon completion of the input spreadsheet, users can then upload the spreadsheet to TI for the power consumption analysis. Registration and legal agreement acceptance is required for the upload.
- Power estimation report - This report is emailed to you and contains the information on power consumption based on the spreadsheet that you previously uploaded. The report includes information on leakage, active and total average power, as well as power management voltages, if Smart Reflex is utilized.
Step 1.Download an input spreadsheet and fill it out.
