Systems Made Simple Part 4: DSPs in Solar Inverters

00:05:02 | 18 DEC 2015

A common grid tied inverter must be able to measure the grid voltage and frequency, the DC input voltage and the current through the output inductors to calculate the PWM drive parameters on the fly. Any mistake in these control loops can cause a serious disturbance on the grid, especially with more and more distributed generation coming online. Learn strategies that can help do this safely with minimal impact to the grid with very tightly controlled feedback loops running in real time.
