Using JTAG with the UCD3138: Setting up the xds10USB JTAG emulator
A once off modification that needs to be made to a file on your computer to enable JTAG comms with the UCD3138 series via the xds510USB hardware emulator is shown. Please ignore this video if you are using the xds100v2 JTAG emulator.

The following steps only need to be taken if you are using the XDS510USB JTAG Emulator. They are not required if you're using the XDS10V2 JTAG Emulator. Click on the Windows Start button on the bottom left of the screen and type UAC into the search bar, and then press Enter.
Change the notification level to Never Notify and click OK. Restart your computer for this change to take effect. After rebooting, navigate to the folder C/Windows.SYSWOW64. Open the file sdoops.cgf in a text editor.
Search for the following text XDS510USB definitions. Scroll down to the paragraph starting with the comment #ARM specific options. Remove the pound sign in the first column of the two lines directly following this comment. Save and exit the file.
Again, click on the Windows Start button on the bottom left of screen and type UAC into the search bar, and then press Enter. Change the notification level to Always Notify, and click OK. Restart your computer for this change to take effect.
