This training session is an introduction to the Phase Shifted Full Bridge topology. Its main characteristics and switching cycles are explained along with the reasons for its popularity in high power, high input voltage applications - in both Electric Vehicles and general purpose. This topology is very well suited to battery charger applications – especially where the input voltage is high.
