Controlling an Indicator LED

Most modern systems like PLC’s or network equipment, shown here, contain some form of LED indicators. These LED’s need to be driven by either an MCU or other circuitry which is often not able to provide the high current drive required. One simple solution is to use a logic buffer or logic gate. This video walks through the design process and the important parameters to consider.
