In this lecture, we will learn:
  • Interference currents/voltages are often expressed as a combination of differential-mode and common-mode.
  • CM current paths are usually purely parasitic, whereas DM current exists without parasitics.
  • The “common-mode-choke” is a transformer that passes DM current and block CM current.
