This video introduces UART protocol and packet framing. It also covers the differences for an asynchronous protocol and covers several timing error sources and tolerances. Topics discussed in this training include: UART Protocol, start, stop, and parity bits, UART BAUD Rates, BAUD rate accumulation error with error sources and understanding tolerancing. Internal UART peripherals inside an MCU are discussed in a separate video. Hands on software academies can be found below for an introduction to the software related to serial communication.
