      The project format between CCS 12 and CCS 20 remain mostly the same. Hence, you should be able to import your CCS 12 project into your CCS 20 workspace, and it should just work, as long as CCS 20 supports the device and all the dependencies that the project has.

      You can check the dependencies under Project Properties. I can check the compiler version and also any dependent packages and their versions. Then, in CCS 20, I can check my installation to make sure those same components are available.

      If there are some dependencies that are missing in CCS 20, you will need to have them available on your machine and then have CCS discover it. For more details on how to do this, please see the link in the description below.

      Once I've confirmed all the dependencies are available, I can then manually import the project. And the project should successfully build.
