Wireless network challenges and solutions for a smarter grid IoT

The Internet of Things (IoT) is now part of the smarter grid through the adoption of IPv6 communications networks. These 6LoWPAN-based networks address key concerns such as standards-based interoperability, reliability, low power and long-distance connectivity. This training will cover system- and software-level deep-dives on key communication protocols which comprise a 6LoWPAN-based RF network. The training will review new our designs/products for an RF network implementation on the CC1310 wireless MCU and BeagleBone® Black (BBB) – including both the end node and edge router (or data concentrator) solutions.
