9.4.4.4 Data Output/Data Ready (DOUT/DRDY)

The DOUT/DRDY pin is a dual-function output. The pin functions as the digital data output and the ADC1 data-ready indication. When CS is high, the DOUT/DRDY pin is in high-impedance mode (tri-state). Output data are updated on the rising edge of SCLK. As a data-ready indicator, the DOUT/DRDY pin transitions low at the same time as the DRDY pin. Therefore, monitor either the DOUT/DRDY pin or the DRDY pin to determine when ADC1 data are ready. CS must be low to monitor DOUT/DRDY as a data-ready indicator.
