8.1 Application Information

The DMDs are spatial light modulators which reflect incoming light from an illumination source to one of two directions, with the primary direction being into a projection or collection optic. Each application depends primarily on the optical architecture of the system and the format of the data coming into the DLPC3470 controller. The new high-tilt pixel in the side-illuminated DMD increases brightness performance and enables a smaller system electronics footprint for thickness constrained applications. Applications include

DMD power-up and power-down sequencing is strictly controlled by the DLPA200x/DLPA3000. Refer to Power Supply Recommendations for power-up and power-down specifications. DLP2010LC DMD reliability is specified when used with DLPC3470 controller and DLPA200x/DLPA3000 PMIC/LED driver only.
