7.3.2 Device Interface Modes

The MCF8316A supports I2C interface to provide end application design with adequate flexibility. MCF8316A allows controlling the motor operation and system through BRAKE, DRVOFF, DIR, EXT_CLK, EXT_WD and SPEED/WAKE. MCF8316A also provides different signals for monitoring speed, fault and phase current feedback through FG, nFAULT and SOX .
