7.3.3.7 Buck Overcurrent Protection

The buck overcurrent event is sensed by monitoring the current flowing through high-side MOSFET of the buck regulator. If the current through the high-side MOSFET exceeds the IBK_OCP threshold for a time longer than the deglitch time (tOCP_DEG), a buck OCP event is recognized. MCF8316A goes into reset state whenever buck OCP event occurs, since the internal circuitry in MCF8316A is powered from the buck regulator output.
