SLASF99 December 2023 TAS5827
PRODUCTION DATA
The TAS5827 device continues to monitor die temperature to ensure it does not exceed the over-temperature threshold specified in Electrical Characteristics - OCETHRES. If an OTE event occurs, the fault GPIO is pulled low and I2C fault status ( GLOBAL_FAULT2 Register (Offset = 72h) [Reset = 00h] -D[0] ) is reported, then audio output transfers to high impedance Hi-Z mode, signifying a fault. This is a latched error, and it requires I2C clear fault operation by setting FAULT_CLEAR Register (Offset = 78h) [Reset = 00h] -D[0] = 1 to restart the audio playing.
