The default read address pointer mode in I3C basic mode works the same way as I2C mode as shown in Figure 7-19 to Figure 7-22. The device shall also send the T-bit as 0, if the host attempts to read data continuously such that the internal read address pointer reaches 255, which is the last register in the register map table. The host may also terminate the transfer by driving the T-bit as 0 only when PEC is not enabled.
When PEC is enabled, then the MR18 register sets the default number of bytes that shall be sent, after which the device shall send the PEC byte with T-bit as 0.
The TMP139 shall NACK the address phase, during a Repeated Start, if there was an error in the previous transaction.
