Bootstrap

The TPS61378-Q1 has an integrated bootstrap regulator circuit. A small ceramic capacitor is needed between the BST pin and SW pin to provide the gate drive supply voltage for high-side switches. The bootstrap capacitor is charged during the time when the low-side switch is in the ON state. The value of this ceramic capacitor should be above 0.1 µF. A ceramic capacitor with an X7R or X5R grade dielectric with a voltage rating higher than 6.3 V is recommended.
