9.2.1.2.5 Soft Start and Noise Reduction

The suggested soft start capacitor is a 4.7 μF ceramic X7R capacitor. This is utilized for this design as it provides a reasonable soft start time of 3.7 ms and great noise filtering. A smaller CSS capacitor could be selected if a slower start-up time is desired; however, a lower value capacitor is not considered in order to maintain great noise filtering of the ISET reference current.
