The choice of the inductors in CV BOOST is highly dependent on the efficiency and the form-factor targets. One parameter that affects these specifications is the desired inductor current ripple. A common first choice for the inductor current ripple, ΔiL-PP, is 50% of the nominal inductor current IL.
