7.3.2 Minimum Input Capacitance

The TPSM560R6H requires a minimum input capacitance of 9.4 μF (2 × 4.7 μF) of ceramic type. High-quality, ceramic-type X5R or X7R capacitors with sufficient voltage rating are required. Place the input capacitors, as close as possible to both VIN pins of the device between VIN and PGND as shown in Section 10.1. Applications with transient load requirements can benefit from adding additional bulk capacitance to the input as well.
