11.1.6 Serial Interface and Digital Connections

Figure 98 shows an example of the digital connections from a host µC to the ADC. Not all I/O connections are necessary for basic ADC operation; see the Unused Inputs and Outputs section. Impedance-matching resistors in series with the I/O PCB traces help reduce overshoot and ringing, and is particularly helpful over long trace runs.
