10.2.1 Design Requirements

The circuit shown in Figure 78 gives a bipolar output voltage at VOUT. When GAIN = 1, VOUT can be calculated using Equation 4:

Where:

  • VOUT(CODE) = output voltage versus code
  • CODE = 0 to 2n – 1. This is the digital code loaded to the DAC
  • VREF = reference voltage applied to the DACx0508
  • n = resolution in bits. Either 12 (DAC60508), 14 (DAC70508) or 16 (DAC80508)
