8.3.7 nFAULT Pins

The nFAULT pins have open-drain outputs and should be pulled up to a 5-V, 3.3-V or 1.8-V supply. When a fault is detected, the nFAULT pin of the corresponding stepper will be logic low. nFAULT pin will be high after power-up. An external supply must be used for pulling up the nFAULT pins.
