7.3.2.4 Boost Switching Frequency

The LM36274 has two programmable switching frequencies: 500 kHz and 1 MHz. These are set via the Backlight Configuration 2 register (register 0x03 bit [7]). Operation at 1 MHz is primarily beneficial when efficiency at high load current is more important. For maximum efficiency across the entire load current range the device incorporates an automatic frequency shift mode (see Auto Switching Frequency).
