8.1.5 ROM and EEPROM

Some applications require start-up clocks to operate their entire system at power on. Others may only require a valid clock for the logic device (CPU, ASIC, or FPGA) at power on which may then program the LMK5C33216AS1 with custom settings if the default ROM configuration does not meet the application requirements. The LMK5C33216AS1 provides ROM pages to support default output clocks on start-up and an EEPROM to allow customization of the start-up clocks if the ROM pages do not meet the application requirements.
