7.3.2 Device Interface

The MCF8315A supports I2C interface to provide end application design with adequate flexibility. MCF8315A allows controlling the motor operation and system through BRAKE, DRVOFF, DIR, EXT_CLK, EXT_WD and SPEED/WAKE pins. MCF8315A also provides different signals for monitoring system variables, speed, fault and phase current feedback through FG, nFAULT and SOX pins.
