6.3.3.7 Buck Over Current Protection

The buck over current event is sensed by monitoring the current flowing through high-side MOSFET of the buck regulator. If the current through the high-side MOSFET exceeds the IBK_OCP threshold), a buck OCP event is recognized and both the high-side and low-side MOSFETs of the buck regulator are disabled. MCF8315C-Q1 goes into reset state whenever buck OCP event occurs, since the internal circuitry in MCF8315C-Q1 is powered from the buck regulator output.
