8.3 Power Supply Recommendations

For reliable operation at all data rates and supply voltages, VCC supply can be decoupled with a 100nF ceramic capacitor located as close to the device supply pin as possible. This reduces supply voltage ripple present on the outputs of switched-mode power supplies, and compensates for the resistance and inductance of the PCB power planes.
