SENSE Hysteresis

TPS3842 device offers built-in hysteresis around the UV threshold to avoid erroneous RESET deassert. The hysteresis (VHYS) is opposite to the threshold voltage for undervoltage options hysteresis is added to the negative threshold (VITN).

Knowing the amount of hysteresis voltage, the release voltage for the undervoltage (UV) channel is (VITN + VHYS). Hysteresis is dependent on the device VITN including VITN accuracy and deviations.

Undervoltage (UV)

VITN = 700mV

Voltage Hysteresis (VHYS) = 1% = VITN x 1% = 7mV

Hysteresis Accuracy = +0.5% to +1.5% = 6.65mV to 7.105mV

Release Voltage = VITN + VHYS = 706.65mV to 707.105mV
