8.3 Power Supply Recommendations

The TPS51383 and TPS51384 are intended to be powered by a well regulated DC voltage. The input voltage range is 4.5 V to 24 V. TPS51383 and TPS51384 are buck converters. The input supply voltage must be greater than the desired output voltage for proper operation. Input supply current must be appropriate for the desired output current. If the input voltage supply is located far from the TPS51383 and TPS51384 circuit, TI recommends some additional input bulk capacitance. Typical values are 22 µF to 88 µF.
