9.2.2.2.5 Sense Resistor Selection

The maximum target LED current at 100% PWM duty cycle is 1 A, and the corresponding VREF is 100 mV. By using Equation 1, one can calculate the needed sense resistance of 100 mΩ. Pay close attention to the power consumption of the sense resistor in this design at 100 mW. Make sure the chosen resistor has enough margin in the power rating.
