8.3 Power Supply Recommendations

The device is designed to operate from an input supply ranging from 4.5 V to 20 V. The input supply must be well regulated. If the input supply is located more than a few inches from the converter, an additional bulk capacitance, typically with a value 100 µF, can be required in addition to the ceramic bypass capacitors.
