7.2.2.4 SMPS Inductors

Again, to ensure stability across the entire switching frequency range, it is recommended to use a 1-µH inductor on each SMPS. It is important to remember that each SMPS needs an inductor, not just each output rail. For example, SMPS12 is a dual phase regulator and an inductor is required for the SMPS1_SW balls and the SMPS2_SW balls. See Table 7-2 for the specific part number of the inductor that is recommended.
