8.2.1.2.3.1 Sense Resistor Selection

The maximum LED current is 1.5 A at 100% PWM duty and the corresponding VREF is 99 mV. By using Equation 1, calculate the needed sense resistance at 66 mΩ. Pay close attention to the power consumption of the sense resistor in this design at 148.5 mW, and make sure the chosen resistor has enough margin in its power rating.
