The magnitude of internal artificial ramp, VSLP, is set by the ISLOPE register shown in Table 7-7. The slope of the artificial ramp is VSLP / TSW, where TSW is the switching period. Equation 14 shows a choice of VSLP, which is sufficient for the stability of the Boost or Buck-Boost topologies over the entire range of duty-cycle D. In practice, slightly smaller VSLP can be selected for a given application. The value of VSLP in Equation 14 is determined by the inductor, L, the switch current sense resistor, RIS, output voltage, VO, and the switching period, TSW.
