7.4.2.2.2 Software Mode

In software mode, all configuration settings can be controlled except for the reference and interface by programming the on-chip registers. All functionality of the ADS8686S is available when software mode is selected. Table 7-5 provides a summary of the signals that are latched by the device on the release of a full reset, depending on the mode of operation chosen.
