Application Information

The ISOM811x-Q1 devices are single-channel opto-emulators with LED-emulator input and transistor output. The devices use on-off keying modulation to transmit data across the isolation barrier. The input stage is isolated from the driver stage by TI's proprietary silicon dioxide-based (SiO2) isolation barrier which provides robust isolation. With wider temperature ratings than traditional optocouplers, ISOM811x-Q1 opto-emulators can provide reliable signal isolation in harsh environments.

The ISOM811x-Q1 devices are capable of sinking current when subjected to an external load being connected to the device. Like typical transistor output optocouplers, the output current depends on the input current level (IF) and the current transfer ratio (CTR). With multiple CTR options (100% - 560%), low input current, high bandwidth, low turn-off delay, low power consumption, and wider temperature range, ISOM811x-Q1 devices are designed for use in a variety of industries such as factory automation, building automation, e-mobility, automotive, avionics, medical, and power delivery.
