JAJSUL1A May 2024 – July 2024 DRV8161 , DRV8162
ADVANCE INFORMATION
The DRV8161 integrates high-performance low-side current sense amplifier for current measurements using low-side shunt resistor. Low-side current measurements are commonly used to implement overcurrent protection, external torque control, or brushless DC commutation with the external controller. Current sense amplifier can be used to sense the sum of the half-bridge current. The current sense amplifier includes features such as configurable gain, and a voltage reference pin (CSAREF). DRV8161 generates internally a common voltage of VCSAREF/2.
The gain setting is adjustable between four different levels (5 V/V, 10 V/V, 20 V/V, and 40 V/V). Gain settings can be configured through CSAGAIN pin.
