11.4 Verification of Data Flash

During manufacture, the configuration of the gauge in data flash will be updated. Typically, a known good data flash image is loaded to the device. To avoid the time needed to read back to verify the data flash, a number of data flash signature Manufacturer Access commands are available (see Section 12.8). The BQ27Z561-R2 has both static and non-static sections in the data flash memory. The static memory areas are only changed by host writes to data flash commands. Non-static memory may be modified by the gauge firmware.
